The Astrology of 2022
Amazing News!
The Astrology for 2022 is aligned for manifestation. It is much more hopeful, optimistic and gentler than the last few years. There are very pleasant transits, fewer oppositions, and even a few once-in-a-lifetime cosmic events!
Jupiter in Pisces and Aries
Jupiter, the planet of luck, prosperity, and abundance, moves between Pisces and Aries throughout the year. Ruled by Pisces, Jupiter has not actually been in Pisces since 2011. The giant of our solar system starts out the year in Pisces and remains there through May. It then moves into Aries through October and then back into Pisces. This will be the major transit of the year. Jupiter also guides, protects, brings joy, and “acts like a secret guardian angel, ensuring that you have hope and can make your dreams come true.” We can expect to see more abundance, creativity, empathy, and union in the world. This, combined with Pieces, brings love, compassion, and a sense of global unity.
Saturn in Aquarius
Ringed Saturn spends the whole year in the sign of Aquarius in 2022, which is part of a three-four year transit that began in 2020 and ends in 2023. Saturn is about maturation, practicality, moderation, and caution. It has us review our Selves and our actions and will often give you a needed dose of reality. If you have been changing your life or building something during this time of Saturnal transition, you may understand that it has not always been easy, but rest assured it is made to last. It has forced you to be practical and grounded.
Uranus in Taurus
Uranus enters Taurus for the first time since 1934. It takes Uranus 84 earth years to orbit the sun, making its transits very slow and usually remaining in a sign for 7 years. That last time Uranus entered Taurus, we were at the height of the Great Depression and the start of the Dust Bowl in the US. Fascism was on the rise globally, which would eventually lead to WW2. However, social programs to alleviate suffering and bring collective aid for the people were being to be introduced. The tragedy of WW2 definitely lead to the modern era and the struggle for more equality and freedom, not to mention more sustainable abundance, which are hallmarks of Taurus.
Pluto Completes its Orbit
Pluto gives us a special moment this year! On February 22nd, Pluto makes its once-in-a-lifetime return! Pluto takes 225 years to orbit the sun– the last this occurred was July 4th, 1776. For those in the US, that is the birth date of the current nation, and it will be interesting to see what Pluto offers us this year.
Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth, transformation, and transitions. It also spends a good amount of the year moving in, through, and out of retrograde in Capricorn. In fact, the whole cycle starts January 6th, 2022, and does not end until January 29th, 2023. Your star sign will indicate how much this affects you.
Eclipses in 2022
Four Eclipses this year occur in the signs of Taurus and Scorpio, which place an interesting focus on the spiritual and physical, particularly with regards to the unconscious versus the conscious.
